Floral designer Jane Packer is one of the pioneers of the natural look in flower arranging and was personally asked by Sarah Ferguson to prepare the bridal and bridesmaids’ flowers for her marriage to Prince Andrew. Here she shares some of her ideas for arrangements, not just for celebrating special occasions but ones that will also turn an ordinary special occasions but ones that will also turn an ordinary setting into a celebration itself. Her golden rule is ‘Never make flowers do things they wouldn’t do naturally’ and she demonstrates this concept in a range of different ways – from a scoop of red tulips to give a dramatic display in a simple interior to a sheaf of orchids and roses for a bride’s bouquet.
